42nd Street

The biggest show on Broadway is playing in London in a hotly-anticipated, brand-new West End production.

Starring Grammy Award winner Sheena Easton

Peggy Sawyer may be from a small town, but she has big dreams. Fresh of the bus in New York, the young, hard-working Peggy lands herself a spot in the chorus line of a new Broadway show. At first she is just one dancer among many, but when the show’s leading lady is injured it seems that Peggy may get her shot at the limelight after all.

An American fable that never fails to sweep audiences off their feet, the London production of 42nd Street is a vivacious, technicolour masterpiece that features a cast of more than 50 performing all-new songs and dancers as well as favourites such as ‘We’re In The Money’, ‘Lullaby Of Broadway’, ‘Shuffle Off To Buffalo’, ‘Dames’, ‘I Only Have Eyes For You’ and ‘42nd Street’.

Directed by Mark Bramble, the director of the 2001 Tony Award-winning revival of 42nd Street, and playing at iconic, Grade-I-Listed London venue the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, this exuberant production is not to be missed.

  • Great Entertainment

This is always a lovely production. Very uplifting. The principals were all fab, but some of the dancers lacked a bit of vitality for me. Maybe it was because it was “Blue Monday”. This just made it slightly less of a wow than it should have been. The costumes were fabulous. So was Sheena Easton. Worth a trip.

  • Pricing not as expected

Paid £42 each for 4 tickets. Collected them from the theatre, and saw that the face price was £35. You should make it clear when you raise the price
